The Airfix Douglas Bader Triple Pack from the Legends range brings together three 1:48 scale aircraft kits representing important stages of the career of renowned RAF fighter pilot Douglas Bader. The set includes the Bristol Bulldog, Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire.

With 414 parts across the three aircraft, the set follows Bader’s career from his early RAF service through to his wartime achievements. The Bristol Bulldog was an important aircraft in his early career, while the Hurricane and Spitfire are associated with his combat service during the Second World War.

Douglas Bader joined the Royal Air Force in 1928 and was commissioned in 1930. After losing both legs in a flying accident in 1931, Bader was determined to return to the RAF. He went on to fly both Hurricane and Spitfire aircraft during the Second World War, achieving 22 aerial victories before becoming a prisoner of war in 1941.<
