Originally published in the early 20th century, these works by Robert E. Howard have been reissued with a new introductory biography. ‘Three Tales of Solomon Kane’ is a collection of Howard’s short stories in the Solomon Kane series, including ‘Skulls in the Stars’, ‘Rattle of Bones’, and ‘Red Shadows’. Born in Peaster, Texas in 1906, Howard spent his youth moving between various Texan boomtowns, immersing himself in the violent folklore of the Old South. At age fifteen, he began reading pulp magazines and writing more seriously, with two of his stories, ‘Golden Hope Christmas’ and ‘West is West’, featured in his high school newspaper in December 1922.
